Smart can be simple............
Smart controls combine sophisticated back-end systems with user friendly interfaces, which makes them easier to use. You may think smart controls are for gadget-lovers only and that they are complicated to use. Ecosmart Heating can honestly say the smart controls we install really do make things simple.
Why are smart controls so simple to use you may ask?
Smart controls have been designed to do all the hard work for you. Once installed they start to learn from your usage patterns and recreate these schedules. You don’t have to remember to turn the heating off or on just let it do this for you. You don’t have to scroll through complicated menus and set times and temperatures, just leave it to your learning thermostat.
I don’t need to control my heating from my phone we might here you say.
That is perfectly fine. Controlling your heating online from a smart phone or computer is only one of the many benefits you gain from smart heating controls. It is a useful feature, to be able to turn the heating on for example before arriving home from a winter break or perhaps check in on an elderly loved one to see their warm and comfortable, but you don’t have to use these functions. All you need to do is simply turn a large bright dial up or down. It can be as simple as that.
“By remembering your routine energy use, smart controls can use the data gathered to set your heating preferences automatically”
Nest Learning Thermostat
works with Alexa
Alexa – the voice service that powers Amazon's Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV and Tap – provides capabilities, or Skills, that enable customers to interact with devices in a more intuitive way using voice. Examples of these Skills include the ability to play music, answer general questions, set an alarm or timer, control smart home devices and more.
Alexa and Nest work together to help you set the perfect temperature. There's no need to go up to your Nest Thermostat or find your phone. Simply say "Alexa, what is the temperature in the Hallway set to?" or "Alexa, set my Living Room temperature to 20 degrees” and you’ll become more comfortable – without having to lift a finger.
